A dollar is not a dollar

People compare savings accounts over tenths of a percent. The same dollar token, at the same moment, pays wildly different rates depending on which pool it happens to be sitting in, and the gap between the best and the worst is larger than the entire difference anyone is chasing when they change bank.

The venue is not the unit. The pool is.

The sharpest version of this is not one chain against another or one protocol against another. It is two rates for the same token, from the same provider, on the same chain, at the same second. When that happens, a comparison that publishes one number per venue is publishing a number that does not exist, because there is no single rate for that venue to have.

The top of the range is not an opportunity

A very high rate is not free money that other people have failed to notice. It is what someone is being paid to carry a risk, and it moves hour to hour. Those rows are separated out here and never averaged into anything, because presenting them as the rate you could get would be the most useful lie on the page.

Why no comparison site can print this

A ranking needs one row per venue. This measurement says the row is the wrong shape: a venue is not a rate, it is a collection of pools that disagree with each other. A site whose entire format is a league table cannot publish the finding that the league table is the mistake.

What this page is not

It is not advice and it does not tell you where to put money. It holds nothing, moves nothing, and has no field that takes a key, an account or a password. It reads one public feed and sorts it.
